CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ)– The alleged shooter in an apparent murder-suicide in Carter County has died, according to Kentucky State Police.
The incident happened after noon Christmas Eve on Winding Way in Hitchins.
Officials say 49-year-old Rebecca Lancaster’s boyfriend shot her in the head and then shot himself.
We’re told she died at the scene.
That boyfriend was later identified as 54-year-old Billy Suttles, who died at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
The case remains under investigation by KSP.
