Lexington Police Say Cocaine Found After Man Fired Rifle Inside Home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police arrested a man early Sunday morning on after he allegedly fired a gun inside a home.

Officials said police responded to a home on Locust Avenue shortly before 2 a.m.

Police say that officers responding to the area near Bryan Avenue heard a gunshot and then saw a man exit a home holding a rifle.

Authorities say the man quickly complied with officers’ commands and was taken into custody.

Police say 29-year-old Juan Villalobos Corral was firing the weapon inside the house while he was home alone.

Officials say they found drugs inside the residence.

Police charged Villalobos with possession of cocaine and three counts of wanton endangerment of a police officer.

He was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
