LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)- From the ashes, we rise. Following a now-viral post by Lexington Police mourning the loss of a Krispy Kreme truck in a fire, the restaurant has offered to send the cops more donuts.
Lexington police posted photos of their officers in front of a burned out Krispy Kreme truck. The truck burst into flames on Man o’War on New Year’s Eve and took with it several dozen delicious donuts.
Naturally, the officers were devastated.
The posts went viral and despite being the actual victims of the fire, Krispy Kreme generously offered to send donuts to Lexington Police.
🙏🏻 We’re thinking of you during this difficult time…and have more doughnuts on the way! 🍩 https://t.co/9hPDMieFa1
