MONROE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Emergency officials are searching for a woman who is reportedly missing after her car was swept away by flood waters.
Agencies were alerted to the incident on Lyons Road around 6:57 p.m. Monday.
Preliminary information is that one woman was in the vehicle at the time. She has been identified as 19-year-old Leah Carter.
Search crews believe they have recovered the vehicle that was swept away, but they have not found the woman who was inside.
