HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– KSP says that another person has been arrested in connection with the shooting incident that took place in the parking lot of Cawood Elementary back in December.

Gordon Fultz, 18, is charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment 1st degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.  He is in the Harlan County Detention Center.

KSP said that Daniel L. Hensley, 21, and Robert Middleton, 27, were arrested on Tuesday, December 18 at a home on Nola Street. Police arrested James A. Brown, 20, separately.

The shooting happened December 11, just after 8:30 p.m. outside of Cawood Elementary School. Police say that there were several people in the parking lot when shots were fired.

Austin Brown, 20, of Cawood, was struck in the eye as a result of the multiple rounds of gunfire. He was transported to UK Hospital for his injuries. A 15-year-old girl was hit in the hip area, possibly with a pellet from a shotgun, according to KSP. Her parents responded to the scene and decided to not seek immediate medical attention, KSP said. Two small buildings owned by the elementary school suffered minor property damage. The school building was not struck by gunshots.

Hensley, Middleton, and James A. Brown were charged with attempted murder, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with evidence, criminal mischief, and unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
