Man Arrested In Connection To Danville Stabbing

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man was arrested Thursday morning after police say he stabbed someone at a Danville apartment.

It happened around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday on Sea Biscuit Drive.

Officials were en route to the scene when they observed a red Jaguar speeding away from the area and disregard a stop sign. They pulled the vehicle over and the driver was identified as 55-year-old Michael Sheene.

When arriving at the scene, they found 59-year-old Lawrence Jamison inside the apartment with multiple stab wounds.

Jamison identified Sheene as the perpetrator who had stabbed him.

Sheene was placed under arrest and transported to the Danville Police Department and later to the Boyle County Detention Center.

Jamison was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.

Sheene has been charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Disregarding a Stop Sign.
