MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman accused of leading authorities on a high speed chase from Montgomery County to Lexington was in court Thursday morning.
30-year-old Tiffany Watkins entered a not guilty plea to multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, and DUI.
Watkins is accused of fleeing down I-64 for about 45 minutes after a welfare check in the Mt. Sterling Walmart parking lot.
Police say she changed lanes erratically at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
Family members tried to comfort Watkins as she left the court room in tears, telling her “it will be okay.”
