FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Transportation officials said Saturday morning that a mudslide has completely blocked an area road.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Kentucky Highway 1428 between Goble Roberts Bridge and Worldwide Equipment is impassible due to a massive mudslide.
Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area to allow time for crews to clear the debris and repair damage.
It was not immediately clear when the road would be reopened.
