Monticello Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting, Confining Female Lured To Home

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities in Wayne County said Sunday they arrested a Monticello man who is accused of sexually assaulting and confining a female he had lured to a home.

Sheriff Tim Carton said 28-year-old Justin Hunley is facing multiple felony charges.

According to police, deputies received a complaint Jan. 3 about the alleged incident.

According to the complaint, Hunley lured the alleged victim to a home on Furnace Mountain Road under the pretense of having her clean the residence.

Authorities say Hunley held the alleged victim against her will, took her cellphone, assaulted and sodomized her.

Officials said the alleged victim, whose age was not disclosed, escaped the residence and was treated at Wayne County Hospital.

Wayne County Sheriff’s officials say DNA samples were taken from Hunley and the alleged victim. They also searched the residence and seized evidence.

Hunley was arrested Saturday.

He was charged with first-degree sodomy, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree assault and theft by unlawful taking.

Hunley was being held in the Wayne Detention Center.

Wayne County officials said the investigation into the incident was ongoing.
