FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) – State Representative Robert Goforth has not made any official announcement yet but a makeover of the Kentucky Republican’s website indicates that he will run for governor in 2019.
“Dr. Robert Goforth is running for Kentucky’s Governor because he wants to give back to the state and the people that helped him be successful in life,” reads a statement on the website.
Goforth is currently serving as State Representative for District 89 which includes parts of Jackson, Laurel, and Madison.
Michael Hogan will run alongside Goforth. Hogan was a Republican candidate for Attorney General in the 2015 election. He lost the primary.
