LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – 15 years to the day that Ashley Lyons and her unborn son, Landon, were brutally murdered, Investigation Discovery will be airing a special episode covering the case.
Lyons, 18, was shot and killed in the Scott County Park on Jan. 7, 2004. She was just months from giving birth.
Her ex-boyfriend, Roger McBeath, was convicted of the crime but the conviction was overturned. He was re-tried in 2009 and was sentenced to 42 years.
The show “The Night That Didn’t End: A Murder In The Cold ” will air on Investigation Discovery on Jan. 10, 2019 at 10 p.m., according to a post from Lyons’s brother.
A memorial for Ashley and Landon will be held Monday night at 6 p.m. in Scott County Park.
