FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– Several organizations are gathering in the state capitol to talk about protecting abortion access in Kentucky.
The ACLU of Kentucky, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and Kentucky, and others will host a news conference at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Capitol rotunda.
This comes after lawmakers introduced a controversial abortion bill on Tuesday.
The ACLU says the bill would ban most abortions in Kentucky once a fetal heartbeat is detected.
The state is already involved in several lawsuits over abortion restrictions.
