NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is dead after he was reportedly hit by a semi while crossing the road in Bardstown.
It happened around 11:50 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of W. John Rowan Boulevard.
Police say a male pedestrian was attempting to cross John Rowan northbound when he was struck by a semi truck hauling auto parts traveling westbound. The pedestrian reportedly failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming semi who had the green light.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
No charges were filed during this investigation.
