LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police were seeking suspects Sunday after a stolen credit card was used that was tied to a spate of car break-ins in the parking lots at two fitness centers.

Police said they are looking for a black Dodge Avenger with white pinstripes in connection with the break-ins.

Authorities said four vehicles were broken into at Planet Fitness, 125 E. Lowery Lane, and two more were broken into at LA Fitness, 3001 Blake James Drive near Palumbo Drive.

Police said the windows were smashed on the vehicles and items were stolen. They said a credit card taken in one of the break-ins later was used.

Officials said the first call about the thefts came in at 11 a.m. Sunday.
