Louisville Man Allegedly Stole Car During Church Service

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3) – Police have arrested a Louisville man for allegedly stealing a car while the victim was in church.

It happened between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sunday at Chaplin Baptist Church.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was allegedly stolen from the parking lot during church services

Officials developed a suspect and an attempt to locate the suspect was shared with surrounding counties. The Louisville Metro Police Department was notified since the suspect had a Louisville address.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., the LMPD contacted Nelson County Dispatch and advised they had found the stolen car and arrested the suspect, 29-year-old Daniel P. Young.

Young is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
