LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire in Lexington that killed two pets.
The fire broke out close to 2 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Monticello Boulevard.
Officials say there were people inside the home at the time, but they were able to get out safely. However, two pets were killed.
There is some structural damage to the house and visible damage to the outside as well.
The fire is out, but crews are still on scene putting out hot spots.
No word yet on a cause.
