LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– After day one of the Kentucky Blood Center’s annual ‘Big Blue Slam’ blood drive, Kentucky is trailing Florida by 27 points–317 to 290.
This year’s ‘Big Blue Slam’ is the 11th blood battle between the Cats and Gators to see which fan base can donate the most blood.
The competition runs through Friday and is at all Kentucky Blood Center donor centers and blood drives.
Kentucky donors will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt as a way of saying thanks.
