TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – Fingerprints helped crack a 2007 theft case in Kentucky.
According to Kentucky State Police, Odelmis Hidalgo, 45 years of age, was extradited to Kentucky this week from Miami, Florida following his indictment in a 2007 cargo theft case involving nearly 1.2 million dollars’ worth of stolen Nikon camera equipment.
While in transit to its final destination, the vehicle was parked and its contents were stolen in Spencer County.
Through this investigation, detectives were able to recover fingerprints from the scene of the crime. The fingerprints were entered into the NCIC database and were later matched to the suspect.
