Local Offers For Furloughed Federal Employees

(LEX 18)– Several local businesses and organizations are offering discounts for furloughed US Government employees affected by the government shutdown.

These deals apply to the current government shutdown.

High on Art & Coffee at 523 E High Street in Lexington. They are offering your lunch if you are a federal employee. You must show your government identification.

Holly Hill Inn at 426 N Winter St, at Midway.  They will be serving a free spaghetti and meatball dinner for federal employees from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21. Please call (859) 846-4732 to attend.

John Calipari- Calipari Foundation with the non-profit REACH to provide financial assistance to more than 400 furloughed federal employees in Fayette County. If you believe you’re eligible and did not receive the email, contact REACH at (859) 455-8057.

Aviation Museum of Kentucky at 4029 Airport Rd in Lexington. Free Admission is offered during the government shutdown. You must show your government identification.

Harlem Globetrotters. Two free tickets to the 2019 Fan Powered North American Tour offered to furloughed federal employees while supplies last. Show valid government ID at local box office.

The Simple Greek. Free bowl or pita and drink to federal employees on January 17.  You must show your government identification.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. Furloughed employees get 50% off their entire menu at both locations on January 19 and 20. This offer can be redeemed by any furloughed government worker and their family at either Taziki’s Mediterranean Café location. Workers must bring a valid government ID badge into the restaurant to receive the offer. This offer is for dine-in customers only.
