Mason Co. Braces For Winter Weather

Posted

MASON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Mason County Emergency Management Director Tim Nolder tells LEX 18 that with the forecast this weekend, all they can do is wait and see.

That is because it is not clear where the storm will hit. If it is further north, Maysville will most likely just get rain and they wouldn’t need to pretreat the roads. Further south, you’re looking at the potential of three to four inches of snow.

The worst case scenario would be the rain starting and then the temperature dipping, causing the roads to have black ice.

Nolder says that people should prepare for icy weather just in case.
