Central Bank To Help Customers During Federal Government Shutdown

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Central Bank announced Friday that they would be helping their customers that have been affected by the federal government shutdown.

“Central Bank has always made the communities we serve our top priority,” said CEO Luther Deaton, Jr. “We recognize that we have customers who are impacted by the federal government shutdown and we feel it is our duty to help support them through this time.”

According to a press release, the bank wants to support its customers who are federal employees by providing special account and loan assistance.

Customers can call 800-637-6884 to discuss their options.

During the government shutdown, the bank is also offering a special short-term loan at 0.00% Annual Percentage Rate to assist with household expenses of government workers who are not being paid.

This offer requires the customer to have a Central Bank checking or savings account. Credit is subject to approval.
