FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman is in jail after a police chase that spanned three counties.
It started Wednesday night on Kentucky 80 in Floyd County.
Police saw a vehicle driving erratically and when they tried to stop it, the vehicle took off, nearly hitting an officer.
The chase continued through Floyd and Knott counties, and ended in Perry County after authorities used spike strips.
The driver of the vehicle, Jessica Gayheart, faces several charges including wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police.
