WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18)– Three Indiana men are in custody, charged with murder in the case of three people found dead at a Williamsburg home.

On September 13, 2017, Kathy Faulkner says she found the body of her daughter, Emogene Gardner, inside of the home. She said she then went outside and found the bodies of her son-in-law, Christopher Bittner, and her grandson, 16-year-old Robert Mack Kennedy III.

The Williamsburg Police Department Facebook page says that one suspect, Darnell Chivers, was found to be incarcerated on unrelated charges in Hamilton County, Ohio. He is also accused of violating federal law.

Williamsburg police say they issued an arrest warrant for Jeremy S. Hatfield, charging him with unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was taken into custody in Indiana and extradited to Whitley County in late December 2018, where he was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

A third suspect was identified within the last week. KSP said that shortly after midnight on January 18, 2019, Anthony L. Hester was taken into custody and is awaiting extradition to Whitley County.

Chivers, Hatfield, and Hester are all accused of three counts of murder, first-degree burglary, and tampering with physical evidence.
