MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man charged with a gang-related 2017 death in Florida has been arrested in Montgomery County.
The Mount Sterling Advocate reports 30-year-old John Lugo was caught at the Mount Sterling Walmart on Jan. 12 after police received a tip that he had allegedly stolen a woman’s vehicle.
Deputies found that Lugo had a warrant out for his arrest in Polk County, Florida, for manslaughter.
It’s reported that Lugo had been living in Montgomery County for about six months.
So far, no word on what brought him to Kentucky.
