3 Arrested In Connection To Death Of Georgetown Man

FALMOUTH, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police have arrested three people in connection to the death of a Georgetown man.

KSP said that on Sunday around 1:23 p.m., they received a call about 33-year-old Christopher R. Powell, of Georgetown, being transferred to Harrison County Memorial Hospital. Powell died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

The investigation alleges he was fatally injured while in the 2nd Street area of Falmouth.

On Jan. 22, Shawn Richie, Jason Wallace, and Christopher Harris were arrested in connection to the murder. Their charges are as follows:

  • Richie, 45, of Falmouth, was charged with Manslaughter 1st degree.
  • Wallace, 39, of Butler, was charged with Manslaughter 1st degree.
  • Harris, 41, of Falmouth, was arrested for Tampering with Physical Evidence and Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive.

All three individuals were lodged at the Boone County Detention Center and the investigation is ongoing.
