LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– The demolition of the Old Cardinal Stadium in Louisville has been postponed.
The stadium was built in 1956 and originally served as home to the University of Louisville football team and then to a AAA baseball team.
The seating areas were declared unsafe in 2013, but the stadium continued to host outdoor concerts during the Kentucky State Fair for the next two years.
The management group for the Old Cardinal Stadium says they will start selling seats Friday.
Details about the purchase process and pickup will be posted on the Kentucky Venues website Thursday.
