MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Montgomery County jury has recommended an 85 year sentence for a man accused of rape, kidnapping, and witness intimidation.

Ronald Triplett was charged with abducting and sexually assaulting a woman in downtown Mt. Sterling back in 2016.

Another woman accused him after his arrest, and he’s also charged with writing an intimidating message to a victim on the wall of the county jail.

Back in the 1980s, Triplett was on the FBI’s Most Wanted list after escaping a Michigan prison where he was being held on robbery and attempted murder charges.

He is scheduled to be formally sentenced at a later date.
