Lexington Waste Collection Schedule Altered Due To Inclement Weather

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Lexington’s Division of Waste Management will adjust its collection schedule for the remainder of this week due to the inclement weather and frigid temperatures.

Yard waste will not be collected Tuesday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 1. Yard waste service will resume Monday, Feb. 4. Curbside collection of trash and recycling is canceled for Thursday, Jan. 31. Those normally serviced on Thursday will be serviced on Friday instead. Curbside collection on Friday, Feb. 1, will take place on a regular schedule, with the exception of yard waste service.

The Recycling Center, the Electronics Recycling Center and the Haley Pike Waste Management Facility will be closed to the public Wednesday, Jan. 30 and Thursday, Jan. 31. Commercial collection service will also be limited on Wednesday and Thursday, though services will be provided to shelters, hospitals and other essential facilities.
