FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– The state attorney general and lawmakers will introduce legislation Wednesday to fight the state’s opioid epidemic.
Andy Beshear and several state representatives will hold a news conference announcing the agenda, which includes cracking down on rogue opioid recovery centers.
It also includes creating a permanent fund to support drug prevention, fighting human trafficking with the help of the trucking industry, and several other initiatives.
The conference is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. at the state Capitol in Frankfort.
