LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Lexington clothing store has created a new shirt in light of Governor Matt Bevin’s recent comments on schools cancelling for cold weather.

Shop Local Kentucky posted on social media Thursday morning letting everyone know they are now offering a “Soft Kentuckian” t-shirt.

On Tuesday,Bevin was interviewed on WHAS radio’s Terry Meiners show where he voiced his concerns about so many districts closing for the cold without any ice or snow.

In the interview, Bevin said Americans are getting “soft.”

25 percent of the net proceeds from the tee will go to the Lexington Rescue Mission to provide meals and basic needs in the central Kentucky area.
