LOUISVILLE, Ky (WAVE 3)– New information has been released about the arrest of an armored truck driver who is suspected of going on the run with a load of money.
Mark Espinosa’s armored truck was found last month, but the money and Espinosa were nowhere in sight.
Police say that Wednesday, the 28-year-old tried to obtain a driver’s license at a Connecticut DMV using a forged birth certificate. The DMV alerted police, who arrested Espinosa. They say they found wads of cash in suitcases in his home.
Police have not released a final count on the total for the money recovered.
