GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– After a possible break in the case of a missing Tennessee girl, the FBI in Knoxville say they don’t believe a person detained in Kentucky is connected to her disappearance.

WKOA reported Thursday morning that a male suspect was arrested by the FBI Wednesday night at a Marathon gas station in Leitchfield, Ky.

Reports originally stated he may be a suspect in the disappearance of 14-year-old Savannah Leigh Pruitt, who was last seen by her parents at their Madisonville home the night of Jan. 13. Her family found her bedroom window open, but no sign of the teenager.

Pruitt’s two cell phones were pinged near the I-75 welcome center in Corbin the morning of Jan. 14, about 140 miles from her home. The phones have been inactive since.

The FBI says they are still investigating.
