LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Several fans were injured Thursday night when an escalator malfunctioned at the KFC Yum! Center.
According to officials with the Yum! Center, the fans were leaving the UofL women’s basketball game against the University of Connecticut when the malfunction happened.
Several fans were injured, but no serious injuries were reported.
WAVE 3 News says the escalator is set to be inspected Kentucky’s escalator inspector and serviced by the venue’s engineering team and escalator service provider.
The KFC Yum! Center will host the UofL men’s team at 2 p.m. Saturday.
