MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD) — A criminal and two civil lawsuits are being heard Friday in the Marshall County High School shooting.

First, there will be a motion hour in the case against Gabriel Parker, the accused shooter. Then the judge will hear the civil suits for the first time.

The Marshall County School District is being sued by the families of four students who were shot. This includes the family of Bailey Holt.

The judge will also hear a separate lawsuit filed by the family of Preston Cope. Both Preston and Bailey died in the shooting.

Both of the civil cases could take awhile to move forward because of the criminal case currently underway.
