BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Bromley man was arrested Wednesday following a string of battery thefts from George’s Truck Center in Florence.
After becoming a person of interest, detectives located 49-year-old Harold A. Deck on a traffic stop and requested that he come back to the sheriff’s office to be interviewed about the reported battery thefts.
Deck later provided a full confession Tuesday to detectives in which he confessed that he had collectively stolen a total of 33 truck batteries from the business over the course of three days.
Deck was charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking – contents from a vehicle u/$10,000 and probation violation.
