LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Police in Louisville were investigating after 2 people were killed early Saturday morning in a crash involving an ambulance.
WAVE reports that the crash happened about 3 a.m. in the Smoketown neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police Department officials said a passenger vehicle struck an ambulance as it was turning.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle died, officials said.
Three EMS workers and a patient in the ambulance were take to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
