Construction Crew Severs Gas Line On Lexington’s Southeast Side

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Emergency crews were called out to Euclid Avenue early Saturday morning after a construction crew cut through a natural gas line.

The mishap occurred just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Euclid and Ashland avenues.

Firefighters, police and the gas company blocked off the roadway while the repairs were made.

The problem was fixed within an hour.

No evacuations were required, and no injuries were reported.
