Lexington police and the U.S. Marshals Service say 28-year-old James E. Ragland II is being sought in the Jan. 26 shooting death of Iesha Edwards, 27, outside The Fox Club on Winchester Road.

Authorities said U.S. Marshals in Detroit on Thursday arrested 29-year-old Gaige Phillips on a warrant of criminal facilitation of murder.

Officials said Ragland is accused of firing several gunshot, killing Edwards, and that Phillips aided Ragland’s escape.

Edwards died of a gunshot wound just before 3 a.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Reportedly when officers arrived, several people were seen fighting in the parking lot and Edwards was found lying on the ground. Police say
