LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Firefighters saved a family pet from a Thursday morning house fire.
The fire broke out in the kitchen of a home on Judy Lane. No one was home at the time, but a passerby noticed flames and called 911.
One dog was inside the home at the time, but firefighters managed to pull it out. They resuscitated the animal with a pet resuscitation kit donated by the Lexington Kennel Club.
There is heavy damage to the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is Zeus! He’s three years old and loves attention. He’s getting plenty of it this morning! His family’s home was heavily damaged in the fire, but they say they are thankful to firefighters for saving the one thing that can’t be replaced. @LEX18News pic.twitter.com/Q1KTMnNCXy
