State Of Emergency Declared In Harlan County Due To Heavy Rain

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Harlan County is under a state of emergency after heavy rainfall saturated the ground, causing issues around the county.

Officials say there was a rock and mudslide on Kentucky 72 near Pruitt’s Curve that is impacting more than 300 households. They worry that more material will continue to slide.
