Man Sentenced After Hitting Flight Attendant

COVINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A man has been sentenced to 31 days in custody, followed by seven months of home detention after hitting a flight attendant.

Donald Zuppo Jr., 24, hit a flight attendant during a flight from Phoenix to Cleveland on March 20, 2018. The flight had to be diverted to the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.

According to the Department of Justice, Zuppo was sentenced to 31 days in custody, followed by seven months of home detention. Zuppo was also ordered to pay restitution to the flight attendant and will be under supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for two years.
