FAIRVIEW, Ky. (WHOP)– A Todd County woman has died after her car went into a swollen creek in Fairview.

According to WHOP AM, a car driven by 73-year-old Helen Miller, of Elkton, went off US 68 and into a creek off Goshen Road.

Kentucky State Police told the station that Miller had been headed east when she crossed the median and entered the westbound lanes.

Her car then re-entered the median and struck the bridge.

Miller’s vehicle went airborne and plunged into the water, drifting about 100 yards south down the creek before coming to rest.

Her body was found on the banks not far from the car.
