Nicholasville Man Accused Of Setting Fires At Lexington Building

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials charged a Nicholasville man with setting fires at a Lexington commercial building twice over the past three months.

Authorities said 30-year-old Gregory Thomas Casey was charged with second-degree arson and third-degree burglary.

Police used cellphone records and video surveillance to connect him to fires a a building that houses two businesses on Brentwood Court.

The first fire broke out Dec. 26, and the second fire Feb. 7.

In both cases, authorities determined the fires had been deliberately set.
