JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE 3)– A Jefferson County School safety monitor is facing charges after being accused of hitting a student.
WAVE 3 News reportsthat on Feb. 4, Quentin Spencer hit a 12-year-old in the chest while the boy was walking down the hallway at Price Elementary School.
According to a police report, Spencer yelled at the child because his shoes were untied, then hit him in the chest, knocking him backward into a wall, causing the boy to hit his head.
A teacher saw the incident and took the boy to the office.
Spencer is charged with assault.
