3 Arrested In Connection To Whitley County Death Investigation

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Three men have been arrested by Kentucky State Police in connection to a murder in Williamsburg. 

KSP received a call around 11:40 a.m. Monday from Whitley County 911 about an individual that had been located deceased inside a building.

Upon arrival, detectives located 45-year-old Billy R. Lawson deceased of an apparent stab wound. Lawson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.

During the course of the investigation, detectives developed three suspects: 22-year-old Jordan L. Miracle, of Pine Knot; 27-year-old James L. Muse, of Williamsburg; and 27-year-old Jamie C. Muse, of Williamsburg.

All three men were arrested and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and charged with murder, first-degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence.

The victim’s body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy that has been scheduled for Tuesday.
