MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two teens were injured in a crash while heading to school Wednesday.
It happened just before 8 a.m. on Route 7 near the Mountain Parkway in Salyersville.
Officials say a pickup truck with two juvenile occupants slid on a patch of ice, hitting another vehicle.
The driver of that vehicle was not injured, but the Jaws of Life had to be used to free a 16-year-old girl from the truck.
She was flown to Pikeville Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The other juvenile in the truck had minor injuries.
