FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (The State Journal)– A Franklin County inmate is facing a felony charge after she allegedly assaulted a guard.
32-year-old Ashley Walters was indicted earlier this week by a grand jury.
The State Journal is reporting that Walters assaulted Staff Sergeant Robert Kelty on Feb. 5.
So far, there is no word on what led to the assault, but the guard reportedly needed medical treatment.
Walters is now facing a third-degree assault charge.
She’s currently being held on a full $10,000 cash bond.
