JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Johnson County Schools are closed Thursday, just days after a threat was found.

According to the Paintsville Herald, a graffiti threat was found in the high school on Monday.

That threat was reportedly deemed not credible by police.

Extra security was present Wednesday to ensure student safety.

It is unknown if the closing is connected to the threat.
