FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– Governor Matt Bevin was featured in a panel discussion on Fox News @ Night with Shannon Bream over Nick Sandmann’s lawsuit against theWashington Post.

Attorneys for the Covington Catholic student are suing the newspaper and seeking $250 million in damages.

The attorneys accuse the newspaper of stirring the controversy around Sandmann, the teen shown face-to-face in a now viral video with a Native American activist near the Lincoln Memorial.

“This is literally the media, finding… and it’s been noted on topics throughout the course of this evening on your show… it’s about victimhood. It’s finding victims. In this case, it was the Native American who was drumming in the face of this young teen, he was the victim. Now it’s this Smollett fellow, he’s the victim. That’s what sells. It’s tabloid journalism at it’s worst.”

The attorneys for Sandmann have also put more media outlets, journalists, and celebrities on notice.
