EMS Personnel Among Those Injured In McCracken County Crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that involved an ambulance.

It happened around 11:49 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Husband Road.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Heather Thompson, of Grand Rivers, was exiting a driveway onto Husband Road when she entered the path of an oncoming Ford Escape, operated by 30-year-old Tabetha Thompson, of Paducah. The Ford Escape skidded and entered the path of an oncoming Mercy Regional Ambulance, causing them to collide head-on.

T. Thompson and the two Mercy Regional Ambulance personnel onboard were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. H. Thompson was not injured in the collision.
